I am trying to figure out how exactly one would run an interactive shockwave file via MediaLab. I can easily open the file through internet explorer, but that could compromise portions of the shockwave "game". Any alternatives?
Thank you,
Jose V.

Hm - honestly, the best way would be to simply embed the file in an HTML page and then display the page through MediaLab.
You could try embedding the file within a .exe, and then launching the .exe; however this would require much more work than the above solution. Out of curiosity, what exactly did you mean when you noted that running the file in Internet Explorer could compromise the game? Perhaps this will help us find another solution.
Yes. I spoke with my supervisor and ran that idea of simply creating a new webpage and embedding the .swf file. I was interested in seeing if there were any other options that could avoid having to go through that process.
The game is a popular shockwave puzzle. If participants get a hold of the name and have internet access, they can make a search and find walk-throughs showing how to solve the puzzle.
