    Open-Source Spreadsheet Support?

Is it possible to use Medialab and/or DirectRT using an open-source spreadsheet product like openoffice.org's Calc or Gnumeric? For that matter, has Medialab and/or DirectRT been tested on Linux OSes? I'm trying to wean myself from Microsoft products. Thanks! Josh

Depends on what function you're talking about. The data files can be read on pretty much any OS with any app that can read comma delimited text files. DirectRT uses csv for input files, so any app that can save as csv will do just fine. One exception is the "responses.xls" file that MediaLab uses for advanced features--you need to have Excel iunstalled in order to use that. We've only tested our software on Windows so no info available re Linux, sorry!
