recording multiple keypresses within a single file?

    Hello,

I am trying to run a behavioral experiment using DirectRT. Is it possible to record the reaction times (and correctness) of multiple keypresses within a single file? I will be playing roughly 5 musical excerpts and subjects will have to press a button when the hear a mistuning in the violin line and when they hear a mistuning in the clarinet line. Each line will have 6 probes within each sample and I need to record the RT's for each keypress even they are all within one sound file.

I have read the user manual and done the tutorials with the sample files but am unclear about how to go about coding this experiment. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Unfortunately, this is not currently possible. The closest you could get to continually monitoring the users input would be to use the software's continuous joystick input feature.
We plan to add this feature into our 2010 copy of DirectRT; however it will not be ready for release until the mid-late September of 2009.

If you would like to read more on the continuous joystick input feature, see the following help article:
