Not allow participants to enter same word twice

Hi. I am trying to program a task where participants list traits and I don't want them to be able to list the same trait twice. Is there a way to do this?

    Thanks!

Are you currently creating this experiment in DirectRT? What item type are you currently trying to use to complete this task?

    text

I am using direct rt and i have participants enter in text (they are listing 8 characteristics) and I don't want them to be able to enter the same characteristic twice. So essentially a box comes up 8 times (8 trials) asking them to please list a characterisitic.

Hm - technically this isn't possible within the current versions of DirectRT; however it is possible within the 2010 copy of DirectRT. Unfortunately, this product won't be launched until mid-September.

This task however, would currently be possible through MediaLab.

Perhaps a work around can be formed. What is the exact purpose and what are the exact requirements of this experiment?
