I have participants do a LONG series of mental rotation items. For each item they can respond with an answer or click "quit" which skips them to a final instruction. As it is, I have a record of how long they spent total on the task (by timestamping the first instruction and the last instruction), but not how many items they completed. Is there a way for MediaLab to write to file JUST the last item a P clicks before the skip to. (I am trying to avoid having 400 extra columns of data in my output to simply get the one single column for each person marking where they said quit). I should also say that I am not interested in nor do I need a record of their responses for each item. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
