repeat practice trials after no response (case 34099)

    Hi all,

I am setting up a task where respondents are asked to respond 'a' or 'b' within a time limit.

in the 'time' column, I have 'rt:23,18<-999', where key 18 is the incorrect answer and the program will jump to a trial with error message (trial 999); if key 23 is entered the next stimuli of the same trail (a positive feedback) will be presented. In both cases, after the messages, it moves on to the next trail.

I need to edit the above so that if the respondent have not chosen either option within 500 ms, they will be sent back to practice trials that are placed at the beginning of the task. Therefore, 3 options in total.

ideally, after repeating the practice trials, they will return and repeat the block they left. But in case this cannot be done, repeating all blocks is still acceptable.

Please kindly advise if this is possible. If not, what are the usual solutions in performing a similar function? Thanks a million!
