    maintaining constant total response period

    [post edited by moderator]

We are performing a modification of the Stroop task (per DirectRT's implementation), whereby we want the full period for the RT to be maintained despite when the subject responds. We have a 750msec period for stimulus display, as indicated in "time" for the "rt" command. The period for responding is determined by STYLES (with min and max periods, with appropriate error messages). How do I make the MAX period the actual period of waiting before the next stim cycle starts, independent of when the RT occurs?

Voice RTs work a little differently in terms of syntax.
    Code:
    rt:aud,rec,750
Would keep the stimulus on screen for 750 ms, take the RT and save the sound from the 750ms interval as a wave file. Definitely check out the documentation on the stroop voice sample toward the end of the user's guide for more variations.
