    Rotary Controller Dials

    Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has had success with using the dial functionality of the Rotary Controller? I was hoping to use it with the online rating function in MediaLab, but moving the dial doesn't do anything that I can see.

The computer recognizes the device, and pressing the buttons on the controller shows up as a joystick event.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or feedback.

    Best,
    Glenn

The Rotary Controller is designed to show up to your pc as a average joystick, one with two pushbuttons and analog exercise on the X-axis. So it is no longer surprising that you aren't seeing any keyboard output.

    Thanks for the reply, Ryan!

Your comment has me curious--I'm not sure I understand what you meant by, "So it is no longer surprising that you aren't seeing any keyboard output."

I understand the function of the two buttons, and recognizing them as a joystick device was not a problem. It's specifically the rotary dial. What is its purpose/functionality in Medialab?

    Best,
    Glenn
