Duplicate variable names in que vs exp files

    [edited from support email]
MediaLab gives a warning when there are duplciate variable names within the same questionnaire, BUT not within the same experiment. Wouldn't that be easy to implement?

Yes, but some people actually WANT to use the same variable names multiple times within an experiment. These people usually are looking at between subject factors and administer the same variable names in different que's in different conditions. When using the byVariableName data format, it allows you to ultimately see all those data in the same column because that format doesn't care what questionnaires the variables were contained in.
