Allowing subjects to quit an experiment early

    [edited from support email]
I have two questions for media lab software. I am trying to set up a test that participants can exit whenever they want. The dependent variable is the length participants work on the test. The questions are: How can they exit during the experiment? How can I set up the experiment file to measure the time they work on the test? Thank you very much!

You can allow an optional item on each scale response that skips to a non-existent item, such as "end" or "quit". That would take you to the end of the experiment. You can also visually separate that item using hieght top and width parameters.
