Never tried myself, but I don't think so. If you set the machine to run with Chinese regional settings it might work. The question is whether or not the characters are saved when Excel converts the input file to the .csv format. I think I have heard that users running DirectRT on the Chinese version of Windows have been successful doing this. You may want to search the DirectRT support boards for "chinese" and/or "language", "font", "foreign" for some relevant postings. I'd appreciate hearing back if you find a definitive answer.
Thanks for the reply!
I think the best solution to displaying Chinese charaters may be to use images of Chinese characters. Then, they can displayed even in computers without Chinese system.
It's definitely a safe way to go. We are working on total font compatibility for the next version. The goal is that the stimuli in the input files will be able to retain their font and other formatting information exactly as you see them appear in Excel. Right now, when you save the files to the csv (text) format, most of that information is lost.
