    Subliminal Presentation?

    [edited from support email]

I've been using Medialab for the past seven years, but am running into new territory. I am designing a study that employs subliminal images. In MediaLab the "d" parameter has a minimum of 1 second and I need a duration in the millisecond range. Is that possible with MediaLab? Or will I have to use DirectRT? Is it possible to use another program, such as PowerPoint? The university purchased a site licence for both MediaLab and DirectRT last year (after years of persuasion!), so I can easily switch to DirectRT.

Generally speaking DirectRT handles subliminal presentations very well and you can be up and running quite quickly. MediaLab is not built for such speed. Definitely check out:

Of course, there are limits to what you can do with any given hardware. I would suggest doing a general search on subliminal on the boards here to get a feel for the various issues that can come up, e.g.,
