    change blindness

I am designing an experiment involving a change blindness paradigm. In each trial I want to create a loop of four sequential screens (picture1, blank, picture2, blank) which will be presented repeatedly until the participate makes a response. I've been having trouble finding a way to create this loop, and would be happy to hear if anyone has any suggestions.

Depends on how many loops you are talking about. Do you have an expected range? Also, how fast are the presentation times?

Each screen should appear for 250 msec. I'm not sure how many loops I expect in each trial (could go up to 20).

To show each stimulus, you need 3 columns in the the Excel file, so you can have in the neighborhood of 80 stimuli (since Excel is limited to 255 columns and the first 8 or so are reserved). Since you have four stim per set this would work out to 20 sets. So I think you could do it. You would just need to allow the user to jump out of the trial when they respond. Does this sound like it is on track with with you need?
