have ranking items appear horizontal

Hi,
Is there a way to make ranking labels appear horizontal BEFORE they are moved to the right?
Alternatively, is there a way to increase the space between the individual ranking labels? I need to place an image next to each item that will be ranked (either on top of the respective label, or to the side of it). For this purpose I need to increase the space between the labels or have them arranged horizontally.

No, but you can rank images if you want. If you do that you could create images that have both the text and the corresponding image within a single picture. Any chance that would work in your case?
