DirectRT on Vista
Ran a quick search on the support forum and did not see this answered...
OK, DirectRT has not yet been revised for Vista (although a beta seems to be available, but I'm still waiting on that). Does this mean that DirectRT will not install at all under Vista, or that it will install but it will not run, or that it will run but not with sufficient timing accuracy, etc.? I just want to *learn* DirectRT, so if it will run well enough to learn the system then I'm OK. Even better if I can *develop* DirectRT programs under Vista and then just move them to XP when I'm ready to run a real experiment.
So, how much of DirectRT will run under Vista?
Thanks,

As of today (August 26, 2008) we are on the 10th beta release of DirectRT for Vista and it seems to be running pretty well. The primary issues we are seeing right now involve installation and the interactive help system (tutorials and such). If you would like to try it, there is no charge for licensed users of v2008 and trial users can also play with for free at no charge. Just keep in mind that it is a beta and not an official release yet. To try it, contact sales@empirisoft.com and they will give you the info you need to get started. In terms of input and output files, the program operates the same as the regular 2008 version for XP.

Thanks. Um, that e-mail address & link doesn't work. Don't you mean sales@empirisoft.com?

Thanks David, I've updated the email link above. This practice was to help us avoid spam, but I think a fully functional link is more important.
