Programming a forced choice dissonance paradigm.

For anyone who might want to do this in the future, I was able to figure it out.

What it will enable you to do is have participants rateten items (pictures, for example) on a scale response (e.g., desirability). Itthen ranks the responses, and pulls out the item at rank #5 and #6.
In MediaLab, you can then have the participant choose between <opta> and <optb> for which they want to keep.
This is pretty much exactly what you would want in a Brehm-style free choice dissonance paradigm. I am using it for a modified purpose, but the approach may help others wanting similar procedures.
