key stroke response (case 7458)

I have an experiment in which a cue word is presented and participants write a short answer response. I want to record repsonse time from the first keystroke of psrticipants' responses. I have used the parameter k1 as shown in the manual, I also have a duration parameter of d60 for the item. However, I'm not sure what the data represents. On a test tun I waited around 10 seconds before responding, the reaction time data is -7371144, not sure what this means. I know reaction time is milliseconds.

Would you mind uploading a copy of the .que file that has thi short answer item? I would like to see if I get the same kind of number by running it on my computer.

Hi happy. Can you please give me some more details about what kind of question you want to ask participants and what you are having problems accomplishing?
