avoid clearing the screen after key response

hi,
i have a trial which awaits a key response, and then in some cases (depending on the key the participant pressed) i want to jump to another trial ,which displays a text on the screen, BUT without clearing the previous screen.
but even though on the second trial i use 0 for the clear screen parameter, the screen is still cleared between the trials. is it possible to avoid clearing the screen in this case?

In terms of display, all the trials are independent, so you can't avoid clearing the screen between them. Any overlapping like this needs to be done within the same trial.
