-1 Response in data file
Hello again,
Could anyone please tell me what does it mean when instead of getting a response in my data file related to the key I pressed (e.g.47) I get the value -1? I'm sure I'm pressing the correct keys, but I still get one of these every time I test the experiment.
Thanks!

Can you post a copy of your input file, or a simplified/reduced version that illustrates the problem?

The -1 (plus a set RT of 501ms) in datafile happens when I add a ! at the end of the min-max values. If I take out the ! I get an accurate data file, however, I would like to be able to present my stimulus for only 500 ms regardless of when the subject responds.
Attached is my input file partially modified.
Thanks!

I figured it out....I guess I didn't have to worry about the min-max values, all I needed was the clear500 command..duh...
Thanks!

Take a look at the response time on the first ten rows of the data file. See that it says -1 only for the trials on which your subject exceeded the maximum RT? If you are using a min-max value of 0-500! and you see an RT of 501, that means the subject did not respond within the first 500ms of the trial. Does that makse sense?
