Error 445 (case 26181)
Hi all,
I'm using DirectRT Version 2012.4.0.157 (it's just what my lab has) and I am encountering this error:
Elapsed Time: 97563ms, block 1, trial 46, stim 2, Error 445, Object doesn't support this action, on line 640, during GoTrials of Form DDFullScreen
I have a set of about 120 stimuli- they are short 2 seconds videos, with a response option after each video. Each time I run the program, the errors are on different videos- it seems to be random. Sometimes I get 6 errors, sometimes I get 3. There's not really a pattern here.
I've followed some previous threads but changing the styles, display sizes, and colours has not resolved the issue.
I've also attached my input file (I think).
I'd appreciate your inputs on this issue!

Try a different format for the video files like .wmv.

I've tried .wmv and .avi and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I'd like to see what happens when I run the files on my copy of DirectRT. Please either upload all the files I would need here or send them to support@empirisoft.com and reference case 26181.

Was this ever solved? Will make a new thread if necessary, but I had the exact same issue but with images. I'm trying to figure out the source of the error as I get the same error message. My issue appeared since switching from Windows 7 to Windows 10. DirectRT v 2012 as well...

Hi ckmeyers!
If using image files in DirectRT, make sure that they are .bmp format and 8 bit depth. You can get more information about this here in the DirectRT manual:

Hi Jason,
All my .bmp files are 8-bit. Are there any other troubleshooting options?

Sometimes the image files will work with DirectRT when you open them in the IrfanView software and resave them in the .bmp file format.
If that doesn't work, I'll be happy to look at your files. You can send everything needed to run it in DirectRT to support@empirisoft.com (please reference case 26181).
