MediaLab

  • MediaLab v1998/v3
  • MediaLab v2000
  • MediaLab v2002
  • MediaLab v2004.3.24
  • MediaLab v2006.2.40

    v2008
  • MediaLab v2008.1.33 (recommended for Windows XP and earlier, see note below)
  • MediaLab v2008.1.33e (recommended for Windows Vista, Windows 7 and later, see note below)

Note: MediaLab v2010 is recommended for for use with Windows Vista, Windows 7 and later. If you run into any problems using v2008 on these recent version of Windows then you may wish to try v2008.1.33e (above). It will appear the same as the older 2008.1.33 when installed with one exception. v2008.1.33 will install a file called eVideo.ocx that has a version ID of 1.0.11. In contrast, v2008.1.33e will install the same file but with a version ID of 1.0.19. If you already have version 2008.1.33 installed, you can determine which release you have by searching your Windows folder and then right clicking on the eVideo.ocx file and selecting "Properties".

DirectRT

DirectRT v2008 (Read Carefully!)

  • DirectRT v2008.1.13 (Classic/Standard Version -- Compatible with Windows XP and earlier, see note below)
  • DirectRT v2008.2 (required for Vista and Windows 7, see note below)

Note: For Windows Vista and Windows 7, DirectRT v2010 is recommended (see www.empirisoft.com/download.aspx). However, you can use v2008 by installing v2010 from the main download page. How? During the installation you will be given an option to instead install a version of DirectRT that approximates the "classic" v2008.1.13 but that will run on Vista and Windows 7. This new "Vista/7" version of DirectRT v2008 can also run on Windows XP if you are having trouble with the "classic" v2008.1.13 version. Some users prefer it in cases where they had display issues with 2008.1.13. Generally though, we do recommend the "classic" v2008.1.13 version (above) for XP.
