Serial Port Trigger Box

A researcher conducting an experiment in MediaLab needed to show some the same video clips to two subjects simultaneously.

This box connects to the serial port of two computers running MediaLab. When the red button is pressed, a control signal is sent to each computer, and the movie clips begin playing in perfect synchronization. The red LED on the front panel flashes and provides visual feedback that the control signal has been sent.

This system can be expanded to include as many outputs as necessary. If you'd like one of these boxes, we'll throw in some snippets of MediaLab or DirectRT code to get you started.
